Testimonials from Our Students
"After years of having a passion for home furnishings and a strong
interest in interior design, I was fortunate to be offered a job working
in retail furniture sales. I feel the knowledge and experience I gained
working with customers and attending trade shows was as valuable as
years in a classroom, but it did not give me the credibility a formal
education would have provided. Ron Renner's Decorator Training Institute
certification program enabled me the opportunity to become a professional
Interior Decorator in a very affordable and timely manner. This is a
wonderful program for someone who has a talent for decorating, but wants
or needs to add the validity that becoming certified offers. The C.I.D.
designation and membership in the Certified Interior Decorators International
organization will open doors and lets consumers know you are a professional
they can trust. So... thank you Mr. Renner."
Kim Winnette, C.I.D.
"Thank you so much for designing such a wonderful course. Your lessons
offered me a wealth of knowledge while maintaining a consistent pace
and straightforward nature. My passion for art and design is life long.
However, it was through the DTI Certification program that I learned
what I know now. Each session made me realize there was so much that
I needed to learn. I am glad you, a professional and veteran in this
field, provided me with this opportunity.
With what I have learned here, and my background in fashion and advertising,
I feel my career possibilities are endless.
Again, I thank you for this fabulous opportunity."

"A thousand accolades are not enough to express the value of your wonderful
program. When I was only half way through the course I had an opportunity
to bid on a large project and I believe, due to the information in the
course book, I was able to win a large decorating project here in California.
Now all the avenues have opened up for me and I am very busy decorating."

"The program has provided me with a wealth of practical application
that will prove to be invaluable for my entry into the Interior Decorating
profession."

"The DTI program and CID certification has opened many doors for me."

"I have just finished the DTI program. Not only was it a great review
of the decorating profession, but two parts of it were absolutely invaluable
in continuing my business. The "History of Furniture and Architectural
Styles" was very concise and informative and exactly what I needed.
"Consulting Fees & Compensation" cleared up so much for me on
exactly what I should be charging. I cannot thank you enough for this
wonderful program."

"I enjoyed my time working through the course. The most valuable parts
to me were the "hands-on" portions such as the Furniture Layout, Material
Choices, Window Treatment Elevation and Wall Grouping. The templates
and color wheel are a valuable addition to the workbook and I found
them very helpful. I look forward to your review of the assignments
enclosed."

What Professionals Are Saying
"As NCIDQ and the professional associations IIDA, ASID, ICD and IDEC
have been working to raise the bar for the interior design profession,
other associations have been focusing on establishing credentials for
the decoration industry. Any industry that decides to create guidelines
and raise the professionalism of its industry deserves commendation
- and the decoration community deserves no less."
Charlotte Jensen
FASID Past President of the National Council for Interior Design Qualification
(NCIDQ)
"We are in the process of forming a certificate program in Interior
Decorating at our university. We have read some information on your
organization and we were quite impressed with the efforts of Ron Renner
and the organization to raise the standards in the industry for decorators
and to distinguish the difference between the decorator and the designer.
As an Interior Designer and educator, I am familiar with ASID, NCIDQ
and appreciate these affiliations with Mr. Renner.
I have a Master's degree in Interior Design and have taught at the Bachelor
level for many years at several local colleges and universities. I observed,
at almost every level, whether it was Associates or Bachelors, the instructors
ignoring the competing decorators as if they did not exist, as if we
ignore them they will go away. I believe, like Mr. Renner, that we have
to make them accountable and hold them to a higher standard.
I have discontinued teaching in the four year programs and have started
teaching again in the certificate programs at an art institute and a
university in general design classes. We at the university would like
to distinguish our upcoming Certificate program from the rest by certification
and accreditation by a recognized and thoughtful organization such as
yours. We would appreciate some detailed info about the criteria by
which you evaluate these programs."
